the blue room is a North-West London based recording studio / music production and mix suite. Originally set up for British jazz funk band Incognito, it is now available for hire. The studio is equally suitable for recording, mixing, editing or writing.
 

the blue room works within a large community of musicians, programmers, producers and writers. We can help develop song-writing into music production. Being part of the Cream Production Studios, we have the facilities to accommodate almost any kind of approach to making records.

 

Who is in?
 

Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick is a British guitarist, bandleader, composer and in-demand record producer. Since 1979, he has led the British band Incognito, being one of the pioneers of acid jazz. He released fourteen studio albums, three albums of remixes and two further albums by bands largely made up of the members of Incognito. Bluey was also a founder member of the group Light of the World.

As a record producer, his credits include, among others, household names such as Paul Weller, George Benson, Maxi Priest and Terry Callier. He has recently worked with Chaka Khan and Dionne Bromfield.
 

Mo Hausler is a recording and mix engineer. His career started at the renowned Mayfair and Olympic Recording Studios. Now working freelance, he has just finished recording and mixing the brand-new Incognito album 'Transatlantic RPM'. Other engineering credits include Mika, Amy Macdonald, Gianna Nannini, Lily Allen, All Saints.

Mo is equally experienced in working with bands, pop artists, string and orchestra ensembles or he can just be left mixing on his own.
